This addition to a small railway lineman’s house will more than double the living area for a young family of four. Situated in between two villages and serving as the primary residence of a young family of four, the small house with a large horticultural garden used to be for the railway lineman. The new building provides well needed flexible living space and including a master bedroom, a living room, dining room and bathroom. The existing kitchen remains in the old house and connects directly with the new dining room.

The project has an ambitous strategy for reusing windows from domounted or demolished buildings, and the timber cladding will be sourced from a demolished garage on site.
